Built for the modern beauty entrepreneur.
Girl Obsessions Beauty Academy was founded on a simple belief — every woman with the passion to become a beauty professional deserves world-class training she can actually afford.

Turn passion into profession.
We started Girl Obsessions to solve a problem we saw everywhere in South Africa — talented young women with the ambition to build beauty businesses, but nowhere affordable to learn from working professionals.
So we built the academy we wished existed: intimate cohorts, senior facilitators, professional kits used in class, and a curriculum that includes the business side of beauty from day one.
Today, our graduates run salons, freelance for brides, work backstage at fashion shoots, and teach in their own communities. Every course is designed to send you into the industry ready to earn.
Our values.
Empowering women
We believe every woman deserves the tools to build economic independence through skill.
Practical over theoretical
Real models, real kits, real technique. You'll practice on day one, not day five.
Business built in
Every graduate leaves knowing how to price, brand and market their new career.
Career for life
You become part of our alumni network — bookings, mentorship and referrals included.
Meet the founders.
Girl Obsessions was founded by two women with a shared vision — Lerato Cindi and Lerato Mokhaneli.

Lerato Cindi
Expert in makeup artistry and wig installation. Success story teller — Lerato Cindi mentors students on the craft and the confidence to turn their skills into thriving businesses.

Lerato Mokhaneli
Expert nail technician, trainer, entrepreneur and inspirational influencer. Lerato Mokhaneli leads the technical training and business mentorship that shape every Girl Obsessions graduate.
Founded by Lerato Cindi and Lerato Mokhaneli, the academy was born from a shared vision to create a better future — not only for themselves and their children, but for other women seeking financial independence and growth.
Over the past 8 years, Girl Obsessions has grown into a trusted academy that has trained over 9,000 students across South Africa. With training premises in Alberton CBD and a reputation for practical, high-impact learning, the academy continues to equip women with skills that lead to confidence, income, and entrepreneurship.
One of the ways Girl Obsessions supports accessibility is by offering free accommodation to students travelling from other provinces during training days — making it easier for women from across the country to benefit from our training programmes.
